Old City

Whether you are taking a Jewish, Muslim or Catholic pilgrimage, or just wanting to see some amazing history, your first stop has got to be the Old City. In this tiny area, there are four distinct quarters: Jewish, Armenian, Christian and Muslim. There you can see holy sites and amazing architecture from these varied religions.

Temple Mount

No holy land pilgrimage is complete without visiting Temple Mount. It is sacred site for Muslims and is also important for those of the Jewish and Christian faiths. The nearby Foundation Stone is also a site that anyone with religious beliefs should definitely pay a visit to. Other important historical sites include the Dome of the Rock and the Western Wall.

Holy Sepulchre

In the Christian area of the Old City is the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. This is the place where Jesus was crucified and also where it is thought he was buried. Within the church itself, there are areas dedicated to many branches of the Christian faith: Roman Catholic, Greek Orthodox and Coptic Orthodox to name a few.
